Seeking Urban Canine Professionals

Wag Club is a first-class canine social club offering daycare, boarding, grooming, training, and walking services.  We are looking for talented people who love dogs to join our family. Full-time & Part-time positions:  Front Desk, Daycare Counselor, Dog Walker, and Groomer.  See below for brief descriptions:


Our Front Desk Attendant plays a vital role in managing the day-to-day operations of the store and ensures that the needs of our guests (furry and non-furry) are met.  Responsibilities include:  Fielding phone calls and emails, booking reservations, checking guests in and out, charging out clients, organizing each day’s schedule, and handling dogs of all breeds.   Clean freaks are a must!  The candidate is someone with a warm, outgoing personality who is knowledgeable about dogs or willing to learn, is creative and outgoing, and can juggle multiple tasks at the same time. Customer service background is a major plus.  Salary is hourly.


Our Daycare Counselor maintains a fun, safe and nurturing environment for our daily guests.  This candidate ensures that our guests receive the right balance of exercise, socializing, fun, outside breaks and rest.  The applicant must have experience handling all breeds and is knowledgeable about dog behavior or willing to learn.  Clean freaks are a must. Salary is hourly.


Our Dog Walker is in charge of walking our daycare guests as well as external clients.  In this position you would coordinate with staff daily regarding the dog walking schedule. This candidate enjoys the outdoors, is knowledgeable about breeds and dog behavior or willing to learn, and can manage up to 3 dogs at a time. Clean freaks are a must.  This position requires availability Monday – Friday.  Salary is hourly + commission.


Our Groomer is a talented and experienced individual who can work with all breeds. We prefer trained professionals with credentials and at least two years of professional experience, but are open to recent graduates who demonstrate a high level of skill and the right personality.  Customer service background and knowledge about dog behavior a plus.  Daily upkeep of the salon is required.  Clean freaks are mandatory.  Pay is commission based on experience.


This is an opportunity to work in a beautiful waterfront park setting in Brooklyn Heights with a fun and exciting group of people.  All applicants must have a flexible schedule, willing to fill in for fellow employees when need be and can work weekends and holidays.  There may be possible educational opportunities for those who wish to further their education in dog training or grooming.
